How to Choose a Hologram Manufacturer in India: A Buyer Checklist
By Rajneesh Sharma, Owner, Kiran Holographics
India has many companies that sell holograms, and from a website or a directory listing they can look the same. If you are choosing a hologram manufacturer in India for the first time, a few simple questions show you who makes the product, who controls the design and who will still answer your mail after the order ships. This checklist is written for brand owners, label printers and importers, in India and abroad.
1. Do they make the holograms, or buy and resell them?
A manufacturer originates the design, makes the master plate and embosses and finishes the holograms in its own plant. A trader buys finished labels from someone else. Both can deliver, but a manufacturer can change a design, fix a quality problem or speed up an order without waiting on another company. Ask where the plant is and which steps happen there.
2. Is there an origination lab?
The master plate decides how bright, sharp and secure every hologram will be. A supplier with its own origination lab can create a custom design for you and add features such as dot matrix or e-beam effects. Without a lab, you are usually choosing from stock designs that anyone, including a counterfeiter, can also buy. Ask what master types they offer and whether your design will be used only for your orders.
3. Can they show samples on your product?
A good supplier sends samples before a bulk order. For labels, test them on your real pack: the surface, the curve and how they are applied. For film and foil, run them on your own machines. A supplier who cannot share samples is a risk.
4. Do they offer the security features you need?
Not every product needs the highest security. Overt holograms are checked by eye and suit consumer brands. Covert features are checked with a simple tool and suit pharma, liquor and agrochemicals. Forensic features are verified in a lab. Also ask about tamper evidence (VOID, honeycomb and breakable labels), serial numbers and QR codes, so you can protect and track each pack.
5. Is the minimum order clear?
Ask for the minimum order in writing. At Kiran Holographics, for example, standard 2-layer and 3-layer hologram stickers start at 1,000 sheets of 150 × 150 mm, and 500 sheets for holograms with serial numbers or names. For film, foil and machines, the minimum depends on the product.
6. For buyers abroad: do they export regularly?
Exporting is more than packing a box. A regular exporter quotes in USD on FOB or CIF terms, takes payment by bank transfer (TT) against a proforma invoice, and sends the commercial invoice, packing list and shipping documents with every order. Ask which countries they already ship to and how samples and master plates travel. Our hologram manufacturer and exporter in India page shows how we handle export orders, with country pages for buyers in the UAE, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
7. Can they grow with you?
Many buyers start with finished labels and later want film or foil for their own printing, master plates for their own embossing machines, or a complete plant. A supplier who makes all of these saves you from changing partners as you grow. See our master lab and turnkey hologram plant pages.

FAQ
Is a cheaper stock hologram good enough?
It can be for low-risk products. But a stock design can be bought by anyone, so it does little against copies. For brand protection, a custom design is the base.
Can I visit the plant?
Ask the supplier. Our plant is in Jaipur, Rajasthan; contact us to ask about a visit.
Do I need a supplier in my own city?
No. Holograms are light and travel well. Labels go by air or courier, and larger orders of film and foil go by sea.
